This week, Merlin and John talk about

The problem: "It really sweetens up the sound", referring to a technique letting managers in music recording sessions make their suggested adjustments on blank knobs.

The show title refers to the same technique.

Merlin stayed up a little too late watching TV. They talk about the movies that that do not exist, like Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, The Godfather: Part III and The Matrix 2 and 3.

Merlin talks about the YouTube channel of Adam Neely, a bass player and teacher who did a video about Hocket, a musical technique where a melody is broken up across several instruments, which is kind of a mind-blower for him. Adam compares it to Pointillism, where artists break up a painting into individual disjointed points.
