This week, Merlin and John talk about
- User hostile technologies and phone trees (Customer Service)
- Getting up in the morning (Sleep)
- Imagining his own TV show (Dreams and Fantasies)
- Child-like curiosity and excitement (Personal development)
- Modern vs traditional business climate (Money)
- Run for office
The Problem: John keeps ideating, referring to his way of expressing his political direction by not going out with just bullet points.
The show title refers to a concept where you think of time in smaller chunks in order to more easily make it through.
John was just listening to the best hold music he had ever heard: One lonely violin, playing gipsy funeral music. Merlin and John banter a bit about bad phone trees and hold music that takes you out ever minute to play an ad.
Merlin notes that products should never make a sound when you turn them off, like cars or bluetooh speakers. John wonders if Merlin ever suction-cupped his waterproof bluetooth speaker to himself and turned the music up to see how it feels, which Merlin finds an interesting idea to explore.
